It’s been a busy year! Although from the outside looking in it probably doesn’t seem that way. I think if you have been patiently waiting for some new music to get in to your ears then you should perhaps get close to your computer early next week. There might be some nice surprises waiting for you.
I know it seems as though we are being lazy in getting new music in to your ears but we have been working hard on putting all the pieces to the puzzle together. We’ll give you a date so you can mark your calendars soon :) like REALLY soon !
Hey guys. It’s been a really long time since i have updated you about anything to do with Ellington. I’m sure many of you already know this but i thought i would get it writing and i guess make it “official”. For now or forever Ellington is on a hiatus. We went to Atlanta, GA last year and recorded some new songs and when we all got home back to Australia, I had to weigh up what i really wanted from life and music and i especially had to take some time to work on myself as a person….you know how it is ha. I decided to take a break from the band and eventually decided it was time for something new and the next chapter in my life. Ellington had a great run and we were VERY lucky to meet so many amazing people and play so many amazing shows and that’s something i will never forget. We had some of the best fans out there, dedicated and always at our shows! So it is very hard to stay away from making music. I know the guys are still making music in different capacities so follow them on twitter etc to see what they’re up to!
As for me, I am starting a new project called The Decoration with Rhian Thomas and i am really excited to get some new music out there for you all finally! I’ll fill you in with who is playing in the band when we release!
We will be recording in Atlanta, GA with Matt Malpass in August and hopefully releasing our debut shortly after that!
